Strong Enough

Have you ever stood at the platform edge

Wishing that you weren’t too weak to make it end?

Have you ever stood atop a rooftop ledge

Wishing that you could just take the final step?

.

But you’re not weak, no

Yeah, you are strong

It’s your strength that keeps you holding on

This ain’t the time

For your swan song

Life’s never getting better if it’s gone

.

Does the world seem to pass you by in a blur?

Does life move so fast that you lose all hope?

You can stop and rest, and take a breath

Regain your strength, your focus, your will to cope

.

Have you ever wished that you could be tough

To bear the pain you suffer every single day?

Do you wish that you could just be strong enough

Strong enough to make it all go away?

.

But you’re not weak, no

Yeah, you are strong

It’s your strength that keeps you holding on

This ain’t the time

For your swan song

Life’s never getting better if it’s gone

.

So stop saying that you ain’t gonna make it

That life’s too hard and you just can’t take it

It’s got a hold on you, but you’re strong enough to break it

You’ll never learn to smile if you keep on trying to fake it

.

So when you next feel like just giving in

Remember dawn follows even the darkest night

The sun will always rise,  the darkness end

And remember that you have the strength to fight

.

‘Cause you’re not weak, no

Yeah, you are strong

It’s your strength that keeps you holding on

This ain’t the time

For your swan song

Life’s never getting better if it’s gone

 .
